Visit the Tibetan bridge in Canillo, one of the longest in Europe

Come and discover the Tibetan bridge in Canillo and discover one of the most beautiful landscapes in Andorra.

This impressive footbridge has only been in existence for a year and has already become a must on visits to Andorra. We tell you all the secrets of the Canillo Tibetan Bridge, opening times and how to visit it.

One of the most original activities to do this summer in Andorra
Discover one of the most beautiful natural spots in the parish of Canillo and Andorra: the Vall del Riu. The Tibetan bridge, which opened in June last year, is at an altitude of over 1,875 metres, surrounded by mountains and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Another thing to note is that it is the second longest in Europe and is made up of a minimalist metal structure 603 metres long and 158 metres above the ground. If you're afraid of heights, you'll have to think twice before crossing it. With its one-metre width, it allows you to cross back and forth at the same place at the same time.

How to visit the Tibetan Bridge of Canillo?
The Tibetan Bridge is now open! The only way to get there is by bus, from the bus stop at the foot of the Montaup road, a few metres from the Palau de Gel in Canillo or from the Roc del Quer car park (which you can reach by private car from the Montaup road or from the Coll d'Ordino road if you are coming from Montaup). If you opt for the bus, you should know that it is a service included in the price of the ticket and there are frequent stops during opening hours. The bus leaves you at the beginning of a path, about 900 metres long, which you can only do on foot until you reach the Tibetan bridge. You can cross it until 26 November, weather permitting. Opening times vary according to the months. In July, August and until 11 September it is open from 10am to 7pm. On weekends and public holidays during the rest of the year, it is open from 10h to 18h and during the week (not public holidays) it has reduced opening hours. You can check the calendar here.

Buying tickets for the Tibetan bridge in Canillo
The only way to buy tickets is through the website or at the Canillo Tourist Office, located in the centre of the village. You have the option of combining the entrance to the Canillo Tibetan Bridge with the famous Roc del Quer viewpoint. Last year more than 100,000 people enjoyed this activity. No doubt this summer it promises to become one of the most visited attractions again.
Are you going to miss it? We advise you to make a reservation before you come to ensure your place. What's more, it's a proposal that can be combined with a host of other activities in Andorra.
Your rest after the activity will be assured by us from 27 June.
